Keilbachia filigera View in CoL sp. n.

( Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 H, 2D, 3G, 6A, B)

Material studied. Holotype male (in NRMS). N.E. Burma ( Myanmar), Kambaiti, 7000 ft., 28.5.1934, R. Malaise.

Male. Colour. The specimen is probably strongly faded, almost unicolorous pale yellowish-brown, katepisternum (preepisternum 2) appearing darker than the other parts of pleura and the wing seeming to be rather dark, especially the veins. Head. Eye bridge 3–4 facets wide. Face (prefrons) with 15 setae. Clypeus non-setose. Maxillary palpus ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 H) with 3 palpomeres. Palpomere 1 with 1 lateral seta, with many hyaline sensilla scattered on the dorsal surface, without sensory pit. Palpomere 2 with 4 setae. Palpomere 3 with 5 setae. Antennal flagellomere 4, Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 D. Thorax. Anterior pronotum with 5 setae. Episternum 1 with 10 setae. Wing. Length 3.5 mm. Width/length 0.40. R1/R 1.00. c/ w 0.62. r-m longer than bM, r-m/bM 1.37, r-m with 4 setae, bM non-setose. Legs. Apex of fore tibia, Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 G. Length of fore basitarsomere/length of fore tibia 0.75. Length of fore tibia/length of fore femur 1.44. Length of hind tibia/length of scutum+scutellum 2.87. Abdomen. Sternite 8 with ca. 30 setae, widely spread. Hypopygium. Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 A, B: Gonostylus with 3-4 long curved mesial megasetae arising from a common basal body and 6 megasetae in a row between these and the apical tooth, the most apical one of these on the ventral side of the apical tooth, the three most apical of these megasetae rather weak, not much stronger than the other setae of equal length. Tegmen with a broad base and a long narrow apical part, the latter with several lobes the details of which are difficult to see, broadly and conspicuously microtrichose apically.

Female unknown.

Discussion. Keilbachia filigera is not very similar to any other Keilbachia . It is distinguished by having five or six megasetae in a row between the curved megasetae and the apical tooth on the gonostylus instead of fewer. K. foveolata , which may seem similar, has only two palpomeres, not three. K. filigera is reminiscent of K. biflagrispina because of the narrow tegmen, which has long microtrichia in the apical part. Its gonostylus differs from that of K. filigera by having only three megasetae between the curved megasetae and the apical tooth, one near the curved ones, two near the apical tooth on the gonostylus. The number of curved megasetae is only two instead of three or four. Both these species resemble Keilbachia sp. 3 in the apically microtrichose tegmen. The latter lacks the megasetae except for the curved ones.
