Distribution: China (Yunnan).
Etymology: The specific epithet, an adjective, is dedicated to its collector Hu Zhou.
Description. Male (figs. 31, 32): Body length 6 mm. Black, yellow white are: labrum, clypeus, face below antennal socket except clypeogenal sutures and median of frontal-clypeal suture, paired spots above bases of antennae, lower inner orbits continues with lower hind orbits, ventral side of antennae, base of tegulae, lateral side of mesonotal middle lobe meeting at apex, a central butterfly-shaped spot on mesonotal lateral lobe, central part of mesoscutellum, appendage except lateral margin, an irregular anterior spot on ventral part of mesepisternum, posterodorsal corner of metepisternum continues with posteroventral corner of metepimeron, medial triangular spot on tergite 8; red brown are: tergites 4 and 5, sternites 3 and 4, irregular spots on tergite 6 and base of sternite 5. Four front legs yellow white, black are: posterior stripes on procoxa, tibia and tarsus, base of mesocoxa, posterior stripe on mesofemur, posterior stripes on apex of mesotibia and all of mesotarsi, pale yellow are: protibia, pro- and mesotarsi; middle tibiae yellow brown; hind leg red brown, white are: posterior margin of metacoxa, dorsal and ventral sides of metatrochanter, basal 3/10 of metafemur; black are: metacoxa except posterior margin, metatrochanter except dorsal and ventral sides, irregular basal spots on inner and outer sides of metafemur, inner side on apical 7/10 of metafemur, apical 3/11 of metatibia and apical half of hind tarsomere 5; tarsomere 2 to basal half of tarsomere 5 yellow brown. Wings pale infuscate, hyaline; stigma and veins black brown.
Labrum with truncated anterior margin; clypeus roundly incised up to 1/3 of its middle length, lateral lobes a little blunt; malar space distinctly wider than diameter of median ocellus; lower inner orbits raised, FIGURES 45–47. inner margins of eyes parallel downwards; supra-antennal tubercles insignificant, frontal area distinctly elevated, higher than level of eyes in lateral view, frontal ridges round; anterior half of median fovea ditchlike, deep, posterior half indistinct, antennal furrow shallow; interocellar and postocellar furrows shallow; postocellar area elevated, relative width: length = 2, lateral postocellar furrow a little deep; head distinctly narrowed behind eyes. Antenna a little longer than combined length of thorax and abdomen, flagellomere 1 inconspicuously longer than flagellomere 2 = 1.03, flagellum strongly compressed; mesoscutellum slightly elevated, sub-prismatic, apex inclined backwards, basal part of lateral carina acute, apex rounded backwards, appendage with acute middle carina. Hind tarsomere 1 slightly shorter than combined length of following 4 tarsomeres, claw with inner tooth shorter than outer tooth. Front wing with middle petiole of anal cell shorter than basal anal cell, longer than vein R+M = 1.8; petiole of anal cell on hind wing present and a little longer than half of vein cu-a.
Labrum and clypeus with minute and shallow punctures; dorsal part of head with dense punctures, interspaces densely sculptured, shiny; mesonotum with dense and minute punctures, slightly shiny; punctures on upper part of mesepisternum as large as on head, dense, which on lower part minute and dense, distinctly shiny; meseanepimeron with distinct sculpture, luster indistinct, mesekatepimeron polished, punctures and microsculpture indistinct, strongly shiny; punctures on metepisternum minute, shallow and dense, interspaces with microsculpture, shiny; punctures on metepimeron indistinct, interspaces polished, strongly shiny; central part of mesoscutellum polished, punctures indistinct, lateral sides with minute and shallow punctures, shiny; punctures on appendages absent, densely sculptured; punctures on tergites minute and shallow, interspaces with microsculpture and distinct oily luster; punctures on outer side of hind coxa minute, shallow and dense.
Gonoforceps and penis valve as in Figs 63, 64 View FIGURES 61 – 64 .
Female. Unknown.
Discussion. The species is similar to P. rufocinctilia , but can be distinguished from the latter by the following characters: outer side of metafemur red brown, base of metafemur white, inner part with black band; metatibia except extremely apex and metatarsi yellow brown; mesepisternum and pectus black without white spots; penis valves round at apex. The species is also similar to P. jiangi , but the punctures on dorsal part of head and mesepisternum are small and fine, allowing easy distinction from the latter.
