Diagnosis. The new species resembles Xiphocentron (Antillotrichia) rhamnes Schmid 1982 , X. (Antillotrichia) serestus Schmid 1982 , and X. (Antillotrichia) mnesteus Schmid 1982 , for each of which Schmid described a shape discontinuity (twist) on the connection between the first and second articles of the inferior appendage (Schmid’s hypothesis of homology) instead of a linear continuity between the two segments. This character is also present in the new species, but the new species differs from these congeners by each inferior appendage having a sclerotized process bearing short spines on its basomesal margin and two spinulous regions on the ventral edge: One basal and one on the “elbow” formed by the shape discontinuity between the articles of each inferior appendage.

Description. Male adult. Length of each forewing 3.3–4.1 mm (n= 5). Overall color (in alcohol) nearly uniformly medium brown. Forewings covered with fine, short, and brown setae; middle of each forewing with small circular patch of white setae ( Fig. 2); forewings with forks 2 and 4; hind wings each with only fork 2 ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 B). Apical spur of each hind tibia not modified ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A). Segment V bearing pair of anteroventral glands without external glandular processes.

Male genitalia. Tergum IX, in lateral view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 E), subtriangular, wider basally, narrower and rounded apically; anterior margin sinuous, dorsal margin nearly straight; in dorsal view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C), subtrapezoidal, wider basally, narrower apically; anterior margin with deep, U-shaped, mesal emargination; posterior margin sinuous with slight mesal emargination. Sternum IX, lateral view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 E), long, subtriangular, about 2 times as long as tall, taller basally, narrower and slightly pointed apically; anterior margin on each side with short, slender, rounded, mesal projection with small slender anterior flange; ventral margin rounded; posterodorsal margin on each side sinuous, slightly concave at midlength; in ventral view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 D), obovate, anterior margin straight with short lateral projections; posterior margin rounded with shallow mesal emargination. Segment X semimembranous; in lateral view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 E), oblong, apically bilobated, lobes rounded, single ventral lobe smaller than pair of dorsal lobes; in dorsal view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C), subtriangular, wider basally, narrower and divided apicodorsally into two rounded, dorsolateral lobes; in ventral view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 D), ventral lobe acute posteromesally. Preanal appendages long, subcylindrical, setose; in lateral view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 E), each slightly sinuous, widest basally and in posterior half, slender before middle giving general sinuous aspect with dorsal margin nearly straight and ventral margin concave, apex rounded; in dorsal view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C), nearly parallel-sided, slightly narrower preapically, basomesal margin with several straight setae. Inferior appendages about as long as preanal appendages, surfaces covered with fine setae; in lateral view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 E), each sinuous, widest basally, with a strong shape discontinuity between the two articles of inferior appendage, its ventral margin with deep and rounded excision before middle, with undulated and spinulous elbow-like shape near middle, and with slender, clavate apical half; basomesal and midmesal ventral margins before and beyond excision darkly sclerotized and bearing short spines, mesal margin with sclerotized process bearing short spines; in dorsal and ventral views ( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 C, 1D), angled mesad at one-third length, then straight. Aedeagus long, slender, tubular, with the apex slightly enlarged ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 G).

Etymology. Noun in apposition, with unchanging termination, in reference to the Kamakan people who were indigenous to the Camacan region where the holotype was collected.
