Type species: Paracerura virgata Deharveng & Oliveira Diagnosis. Habitus resemble of Desoria . Body size up to 1.5 mm. Body distinctly pigmented. Eyes 8+8. Postantennal organ elliptical, with chitinous borders, distant from the nearest eye by about twice the eye diameter. Body plurichaetotic. Without trichobothria. Common setae and macrosetae smooth or ciliated. Tibiotarsi with acuminated tenent hairs. Abdominal segments IV, V and VI separated. Retinaculum with 4 teeth and setae on corpus. Manubrium with several setae in midanterior group. Dens long, crenulated with longitudinal row of internal setae common or spiniform. Mucro quadridentate, without setae.
