Genus Buenoa Kirkaldy, 1904 View in CoL

Note. Truxal (1953) recorded Buenoa pallens (Champion, 1901) from Chile based on specimens collected by H. H. Keifer in Magdalena Island, on May 19, 1925. During this period, Keifer was collecting in Islas Marías, Mexico, not in Chile ( van Doesburg 1968: 72, Kelsey 1969: 142). Becuse this is the only record of the species from Chile, we consider that it does not occur in the country.
