Distribution: Species endemic to Brazil, occurring in the states of the South, Southeast, Central-west and Northeast regions ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in the Foz do Iguaçu area.
Reproductive period: According to Filardi et al. (2016), it flowers June to November and is in fruit from December to January. In ParNa Iguaçu it was collected in flower in November.
Diagnostic characteristics: Trees with bipinnate leaves, extrafoliar nectaries on the petioles and between the distal pair of leaflets, globose inflorescences, monadelphous stamens and legume fruit.
Conservation: Native-NE.
