28. Holocalyx balansae Micheli (1883: 41) . ( Fig. 5G )

Distribution: It occurs in Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay (Mansano & Vianna Filho 2010); in Brazil it occurs in the states of the South, Southeast and Central-west regions and in Bahia in the Northeast ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in the Foz do Iguaçu and Capanema areas.

Reproductive period: In ParNa Iguaçu it was found in flower and fruits in October.

Diagnostic characteristics: Trees of large size with pinnate leaves, flowers with green petals and drupaceous fruit.

Conservation: Native-NE.
