Distribution: It occurs in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay (Carvalho 2003); in Brazil it occurs in the states of the South, Southeast, Northeast and Central-west regions ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in all areas.
Reproductive period: According to Snak et al. (2012), flowering and fruiting are concentrated in the last months of the year. In ParNa Iguaçu it was found in flower in October and in fruit in February, April, June and August.
Diagnostic characteristics: This arboreal species is easily recognized by its bipinnate leaves, stamens connate into a tube and baccate, auriculiform legumes.
Conservation: Native-NE.
