Distribution: It occurs from Mexico to Argentina ( Vanni 2001); in Brazil it occurs throughout the country ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in all areas.
Reproductive period: It flowers and fruits throughout the year ( Lima et al. 2014). In ParNa Iguaçu it was found in flower in February, March, July and from October to December and in fruit in July and November.
Diagnostic characteristics: Prostrate subshrubs with pinnate, trifoliolate leaves recognized by their ovate stipules and whitish flowers.
Conservation: Native-NE.
