Distribution: According to Queiroz (1991), this species is restricted to the basins of the Paraná and Iguaçu Rivers, it occurs in Argentina and in Brazil, only in the states of São Paulo and Paraná ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in all areas.
Reproductive period: Its flowering period is concentrated from August to November and fruiting in November ( Queiroz 1991). In ParNa Iguaçu it was found in flower in August, September and November and in fruit in September.
Diagnostic characteristics: Lianas with 3-foliolate leaves recognized by the characteristics of pubescent branches and inflorescences of pseudoracemes with nodes and papilionoid flowers with a banner featuring indumentum on the external surface.
Conservation: Native-LC.
