Distribution: It occurs in Argentina, Paraguay and in the South, Southeast and Central-west regions of Brazil ( Hoc 1992; Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in the Céu Azul and Foz do Iguaçu areas.
Reproductive period: The species flowers and fruits nearly throughout the year ( Hoc 1992). In ParNa Iguaçu it was found in flower in the months of August and October and in fruit in September, November and December.
Diagnostic characteristics: Shrubs to trees with bipinnate leaves recognized by the caducous stipules, leaves with 3–9 pinnae, flowers with more than 35, whitish and pinkish stamens.
Conservation: Native-NE.
