Distribution: The species is distributed in Argentina and Paraguay ( Burkart 1970); in Brazil it occurs in the states of the South, Southeast, Northeast regions and in Mato Grosso do Sul in the Central-west region ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in the Foz do Iguaçu area.
Reproductive period: In ParNa Iguaçu it was found in flower in January.
Diagnostic characteristics: Lianas with 3-foliolate leaves that are differentiated by their hirsute, erect branches, inflorescences with nodules, up to 50 cm long, and legumes with woody valves.
Conservation: Native-NE.
