Distribution: The species is endemic to Brazil, occurring only in the state of Paraná ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in the Céu Azul area.
Reproductive period: In ParNa Iguaçu it was found with fruits in April.
Diagnostic characteristics: Decumbent subshrubs recognized by a combination of characteristics: only one pair of pinnae, flowers with pinkish stamens and fruits with urticating trichomes.
Conservation: Native-NE
