Distribution: It occurs from Mexico to Argentina ( Rico-Arce 2007); in Brazil it occurs only in states of the South region and in Mato Grosso do Sul of the Central-west region ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in Matelândia in the Capanema area and in the Céu Azul area.
Reproductive period: According to Barros & Morim (2014), it flowers from December to January and fruits from January to August. In ParNa Iguaçu it was found in flower in January and December and in fruit in March and June.
Diagnostic characteristics: Lianas with bipinnate leaves recognized by the stipitate, foliar nectaries between the
