Possesses activity of β -galactosidase and urease, but not arginine dihydrolase. Assimilates glucose, arabinose, mannose, mannitol, maltose, N- acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid, but not capric or and adipic acid. Strain MMS18-CY120 (= NIBRBAC000502557) was isolated from soil, Cheongyand-gun, Korea. The GenBank accession number for the 16S rRNA gene sequence is MK089843.
