Distribution and habitat: — Brazil (Minas Gerais). Campo rupestre; 700–1015 m.
Taxonomic Notes: —Known only from a few collections. Typical features are the cluster of 2–6 capitula and the receptacle with flat-bottomed ridges bearing articulated deciduous setae. Similar to H. ekmaniana : see that species for a discussion of the differences.
