Distribution: Guyana, Brazil, French Guiana, Suriname, Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela. Comments to faunistic records in Ecuador: Roth (1970c:460): 3 males, Napo, Santa Cecilia, Rio Aguarico, Ecuador. Note: According to Princis (1958:62) E. opaca Walker is a synomym of E. substrigata Walker. Roth (1970c:465 ,

471) indicated, that E. opaca and E. substrigata are distinct species. Both species belong to subgroup B of the

Burmeisteri Group.
