Diagnostic characters (female). Body length 5.2–6.9 mm; antenna with 48–54 segments, apical segments quadrate; compound eyes medium-sized ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 A); face 2.0 × as wide as its height, hypoclypeal depression as wide as its distance from compound eye ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 B); postocellar line as long as ocellar diameter, ocular-ocellar line 2.4–2.6 × longer than ocellar diameter ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 C), length of temple 0.8 × as long as length of compound eye in dorsal view ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 C); mesopleuron almost smooth with sporadic punctate ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 D); vein r of fore wing 0.5 × as long as 3-SR, vein 2-CU1 as long as vein 1-CU1 ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 E), marginal cell of hind wing widened apically; claws blackish pectinate; first and second metasomal tergites with distinctly longitudinal striae, second metasomal tergite distinctly transverse, 1.3–1.4 × as wide as its length ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 F).

Coloration. Body black; antenna brownish, usually apical half dark ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 B), head and mesosoma black; leg reddish except hind tarsus, apical hind femur and half of hind tibia black ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 B); first and second metasomal tergites reddish, third metasomal tergite reddish except apical, following tergites completely black ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 F).

General distribution. South Palaearctic.

Distribution in Iran. Guilan and Mazandaran provinces (current study); Sistan & Baluchestan province ( Hedwig 1957 as A. ductor ), not exactly defined ( Tobias 1976, 1986), Isfahan province ( Ghahari et al. 2011c as A. ductor ).
