Type locality: Algeria, Hoggar, Atakor, Oued Imarera.
Distribution: Eremian (central Saharan highlands, Egypt, Somalia, Sudan, Sinaï, Jordan, the Arabian peninsula, Iran through Afghanistan, southern central Asia) ( Popov 1984). Biogeographic zone: Central Sahara.
Bioclimatic zone: Saharian.
Records in Algeria: Hoggar, Atakor, Oued Imarera [23°25'N 5°45'E]; Tamanrasset [22°46'N 5°31'E] ( Chopard 1929).
