Distribution: Canary Islands, North Africa, Asia up to Iran ( Gorochov and Llorente 2001). Biogeographic zone: Northern Sahara.
Bioclimatic zone: Saharian.
Record in Algeria: Biskra [34°51’N 5°43’E] ( Chopard 1943, as Gryllulus canariensis Chopard, 1937 ).
