Type locality: Dalmatia ( Chopard 1943).
Distribution: Mediterranean basin ( Bameul 1997).
Biogeographic zones: Shoreline, Tellian Atlas, Northern Sahara.
Bioclimatic zones: Humid, subhumid, semiarid, saharian.
Records in Algeria: Surroundings of Constantine [36°21’N 6°36’E] (Lucas, in Finot 1896). Biskra [34°51’N 5°43’E]; Nemours [3°56’N 1°51’W]; Philippeville [Skikda] [36°56’N 6°49’E] ( Chopard 1943). The specimens originating from Edough Mountain identified G. dalmatina by Chopard (1943) are listed here as Gryllomorpha sp. 2 (Mohamed Sahnoun in prep.).
