Atrovirensis sacculatus sp. n.

( Figs 14, 15 View FIGURES 1 – 15 , 32 View FIGURES 30 – 32 , 45 View FIGURES 45 – 47 )

Type material. Holotype: male, China, Aut. Reg. Xizang, Linzhi, Hanmi, 2200 m, 20–28.vii.2013, Z.H. Pan leg., genitalia prep. HHL-2910-1, Coll. NEFU, Harbin. Paratypes: 2 males, 1 female, same locality, data and collector, genitalia prep. males, HHL-2908-1, HHL-2931-1, female HHL-2947-2. Coll. NEFU, Harbin.

Diagnosis. Wingspan 32–35 mm. A. sacculatus sp. n. is the third new species of sinica species-group. It differs externally from its congeners by smaller size (wingspan 32–35 mm), bright colouration forewing, resembling A. parannamita . Wing pattern formed by golden-green elements on dark-brownish background and especially expressed golden-green subterminal field; hindwing yellowish-grey brown, darker than in A. parannamita , but paler than in other members of sinica species-group. By male genitalia structure it is close to A. owadai , from which it differs by narrower and more apically hooked uncus, broader juxta, more rounded cucullus, shorter neck of cucullus and angled lateral extension of sacculus (rounded in A. owadai and in all species of sinica -species group). Aedeagus with rather short diverticula, medial diverticulum armed by short cutter-like cornutus, different in shape from other species of the group. Female differs by well-formed quadrangular antrum and very short sclerotised ductus bursae.

Description. Adult ( Figs 14, 15 View FIGURES 1 – 15 ). Head and thorax covered with yellowish-green hair-like scales, palps blackish-brown. Ground colour of forewing blackish-brown with yellowish-green dusting; main elements of wing pattern yellowish-green; costal field yellowish-green dusting and with distinct yellowish-green and blackish marks; basal field yellowish-green, basal line distinct; subbasal field filled with yellowish-green, subbasal line slightly waved; medial field blackish-brown with yellow-greenish suffusion, claviform traceable; orbicular and reniform stigmata filled with yellowish-green, rather small, orbicular rounded, both stigmata encircled by dark line; veins suffused with grey; postmedial line waved; subterminal field bright, yellowish-green, with ash-grey veins and light brownish outer suffusion; subterminal line dentate, extended in M1-M2 veins area, pale yellowish-green; terminal field blackish-brown with grey suffusion; terminal line waved, as row black semilunar streaks; cilia yellowishbrown, with black terminal spots between veins. Hindwing yellowish-grey, paler in outer part, with hardly traceable discal spot and in some specimens with diffused terminal band; cilia pale, yellowish-grey.

Male genitalia. ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 30 – 32 ). Uncus rather short, thinner than in related species, slightly hooked apically; tegumen with broad peniculus, juxta plate-like, broad; valva narrower than in A. owadai , with shorter neck of cucullus and angled lateral extension of sacculus; harpe straight, rather short, smaller than in related species; cucullus larger and more rounded than in A. owadai . Aedeagus with tubular vesica ended by short ventral diverticulum armed with two small spines and larger medial diverticulum armed with short (about two times shorter than in other species of A. sinica group), cutter-like cornutus.

Female genitalia. ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 45 – 47 ). Ovipositor relatively small, papillae anales constricted apically; antrum quadrangular in shape with antevaginal plate formed by two small scobinate lobes; the ductus bursae very short, sclerotised and bifurcate in joining with corpus bursae; corpus bursae long, narrow, somewhat constricted medially, extended in proximal part.

Etymology. The species name indicates for angular shape of sacculus which is the characteristic feature of new species.

Distribution. China (Aut. Reg. Xizang). The species is known only from its type-locality.
