General distribution. From the Italian and Balkan peninsulas to eastern Europe (in the north as far as Slovakia, Poland, Ukraine and southern European territories of European Russia) and southwestern Asia ( Jansson 1986, 1995; Fent et al. 2011; Protić 2016; Reduciendo Klementová et al. 2015; Protić & Nadaždin 2019). In Romania, H. parallela is known throughout the Carpathian Mountains ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 12–15 ).
