General distribution. From northern Africa and the southern half of Europe (including Azores and Great Britain) to southwestern Asia ( Jansson 1986, 1995; Fent et al. 2011; Grandova 2013, 2014a; Boda et al. 2015; Protić 2016; Csabai et al. 2017; Shapovalov et al. 2018b; Stoianova 2018; Taybi et al. 2018; Cianferoni 2019; Protić & Nadaždin 2019; Šeat & Nadaždin 2021; Berchi et al. 2023). In Romania, C. affinis is known from most of the country ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 8–11 ).
