Type host: Eremophila bilopha (Temminck) ( Passeriformes : Alaudidae ). Type locality: Egypt. Description. PHYSOGASTRIC FEMALE (holotype). Body worm-shaped outline, 715 long (845 in 1 paratype). Gnathosoma . Hypostomal apex rounded, with shoulders. Infracapitulum apunctate. Peritremes V-shaped, each medial branch with 2–3 chambers, each lateral branch with 6–8 chambers. Movable cheliceral digit dentate in posterior part. Stylophore 190 (180) long. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield divided longitudinally into 2 narrow lateral shields, sparsely punctate laterally, bearing bases of setae ve, si and se. Setae vi located slightly posterior to level of setae ve. Length ratio of setae vi: ve: si 1.5–1.7:1:1.9–2. Setae c1 located anterior to level of setae se. All propodonotal setae lightly beaded. Pygidial shield well developed and apunctate. Setae f2 slightly (1.2 times) longer than f1. Setae h1 5.4 times longer than f1. Alveoles of setae 3a–3a not coalesced, but very close to each other. Aggenital setae ag1 situated anterior to level of setae ag2. Length ratio of setae ag1: ag2: ag3 1:1:1.2–1.5. Setae ps1 1.2–1.3 times longer than ps2. Genital setae long and hair-like. Hypostomal lobes absent. Coxal fields I–IV well developed, I punctate, III–IV apunctate. Setae 3c 2.7 times longer than 3b. Legs. Most of dorsal setae of legs I and II covered by weakly visible ornamentation. Antaxial and paraxial members of claws pair III and IV subequal in size. Setae tc”III–IV 1.3 times longer than tc’III–IV. MALE. Total body length 450 in 1 paratype. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum apunctate. Hypostomal apex with pair of minute, blunt-ended protuberances. Peritremes M-shaped, each medial branch with 3 chambers, each lateral branch with 8 clearly visible chambers. Movable cheliceral digit edentate in posterior part. Stylophore 90 long. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield entire, sparsely punctate, posterior part with indistinct margin, bearing bases of setae vi, ve, si and se. Setae vi situated posteriorly to level of setae ve. Length ratio of setae vi: ve: si 1.2:1:1.8. Setae c1 located anteriorly to level of setae se. Propodonotal setae slightly ornamented. Hysteronotal shield well developed, not fused to pygidial shield, divided longitudinally, bearing bases of setae d1 and e2, punctate. Setae d2 3.8 times longer than d1 and e2. Setae d1 situated closer to setae e2 than to d2. Pygidial shield well developed, punctate. Alveoles of setae 3a–3a not coalesced. Aggenital plate well developed, entire, apunctate, bearing bases of setae ag1. Length ratio of setae ag1: ag2 1.3:1. Coxal fields I–IV well developed, sparsely punctate. Legs. Most of dorsal setae of legs I and II covered by weakly visible ornamentation. Antaxial and paraxial members of claws pair III and IV subequal in size and shape. Lengths of setae: vi 95, ve 80, si 145, c1 180, c2 150, se 165, d1 35, d2 135, e2 30, f2 30, ag1 25, ag2 20, l’RIII 20, 3c 45.

Type material. Eremophila bilopha (Temminck) ( Passeriformes : Alaudidae ): female holotype (physogastric form) and paratypes: 2 females (physogastric forms) and 1 male ( AMU –SYR.273) (bod.); EGYPT, no other data. Host specimen deposited in the MNHW.

Type material deposition. All type material deposited in the AMU .

Etymology. The name refers to the generic name of the host.

Differential diagnosis. See defferential diagnosis of above described species, P. riparius .

Host range and habitat. Monoxenous species inhabiting quills of body feathers of Eremophila bilopha.

Distribution. Egypt.
