Type host: Anthus spinoletta (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Motacillidae ). Type locality: Poland.

FEMALE (holotype and 10 paratypes). Total body length 1145–1270. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum sparsely punctate. Hypostomal apex with pair of short protuberances. Each medial branch of peritremes with 4–5 chambers, each lateral branch with 10–13 chambers. Length of apunctate stylophore and movable cheliceral digit 270–280 and 180–185 respectively. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield punctate in anterior part, concave on anterior margin, strongly sculptured, bearing bases of setae vi, ve, si, se, and c1. Length ratio of setae vi:ve:si 1:1.6–1.9:2.1–2.2. Setae se and c1 situated at same transverse level. Hysteronotal shields absent. Small pygidial shield punctate. Setae f1, f2, h1 and h2 subequal in length. Aggenital setae ag1, ag2 and ag3 subequal in length and about 5 times longer than genital setae. Coxal fields I–II densely punctate, III–IV sparsely punctate. Setae 3c slightly longer (1.1–1.2 times) than 3b. Legs. Fan-like setae p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 12–13 tines. Setae tc’ and tc” of legs III and IV subequal in length. Apodemes I fused to apodemes II in middle part of apodemes II. Lengths of setae: vi 205– 225, ve 340–420, si 440–455, se 430–555, c1 440–445, c2 430–515, d1 425–550, d2 425–490, e2 430–445, f1, f2, h1 and h2 450–550, ps1 55–60, ps2 45–55, g1 and g2 70–80, ag1, ag2 and ag3 395–405, l’RIII 90–95, l’RIV 75– 80, tc’III–IV and tc”III–IV 105–120, 3b 190, 3c 210.

MALE (3 paratypes). Total body length 895–1015. Gnathosoma . Infracapitulum apunctate. Each medial branch of peritremes with 4–6 chambers, each lateral branch with 9–11 chambers. Idiosoma . Propodonotal shield apunctate, slightly sculptured and concave on lateral margins, bearing bases of setae vi, ve, si, se, and c1. Length ratio of setae vi:ve:si 1:2.1–2.2:3–3.7. Setae se and c1 situated at same transverse level. Hysteronotal shield fused to pygidial shield, deeply concave on anterior margin. Setae d2 2.3–2.8 times longer than e2. Setae h2 6–7.5 times longer than f2. Coxal fields I–IV apunctate. Setae 3c 1.7–1.8 times longer than 3b. Legs. Fan-like seta p’ and p” of legs III and IV with 11 tines. Setae tc” of legs III and IV 1.3–1.5 times longer than tc’III–IV. Lengths of setae: vi 65–70, ve 140–155, si 200–240, se 235–260, c1 255, c2 200–260, d1 30–35, d2 90–130, e2 40 –45, f2 35–40, h2 205–260, ag1 40–65, ag2 105, ag3 30–35, l’RIII 45–55, l’RIV 40–55, tc’III–IV 55–60, tc”III–IV 70–90, 3b 60–75, 3c 105–125.

Type material examined. Anthus spinoletta (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Motacillidae ): female holotype and paratypes: 12 females, 4 males, 13 nymphs and 1 larva ( AMU –SYR.24A) (sec.); POLAND, Zachodniopomorskie, Darlowko Wschodnie, Bukowo-Kopan , 21 April 2000, coll. W. Busse, M. Skoracki.

Type material deposition. Holotype deposited in the AMU, paratypes in the AMU, SNM and ZISP.

Non-type material examined. Type host species: 4 females ( AMU –SYR.24B) (sec.); SLOVAKIA, Rejdova , 5 April 1975, coll. T. Weisz. Material deposited in the AMU . Same host species: 7 females, 1 male ( AVB 07–2310 007 ); KAZAKHSTAN, Ongtustik , Qazaqstan, Chockpak, Ornihological Station, elevation 1134m. (42°30’45.2”N, 70°35’46.2”E), 23 October 2007, coll. A.V. Bochkov. Material deposited in the ZISP and AMU .

Host range and habitat. Monoxenous species inhabiting quills of secondaries of Anthus spinoletta . Distribution. Slovakia, Poland, and Kazakhstan.
