Diagnosis. Overall coloration shiny black; head brownish orange, vertex and sometimes entire median line fuscous. Pronotum and scutellum distinctly punctate; hemelytra more finely punctate. Antenal segment I and apex of segment II black; legs pale or whitish, tibiae often with a basal or subbasal fuscous band. Length 3.20–4.20 mm.
Host. Unknown.
Distribution. Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Panama (Carvalho, 1957), and Suriname ( Carvalho and Rosas, 1965). Ferreira et al. (2006) gave the first report of this species in Minas Gerais.
