Cyrtopeltis infumatus Carvalho, 1947b: 16 (orig. descrip.).

Cyrtopeltis (Tupiocoris) infumatus : China and Carvalho, 1952: 162 (list, comb.). Campyloneuropsis infumatus: Cassis, 1984: 47 (n. comb.); Schuh, 1995: 484 (cat.).

Diagnosis. General color brown to dark brown; head with front, median line, and transverse stripe at the base of vertex fuscous; mesoscutum, scutellum, and clavus pale brown to fuscous; corium translucent brown. Length 3.10– 3.40 mm

Hosts. Tobacco, Nicotiana tobacum L. [ Solanaceae ]; Petunia sp. [ Solanaceae ] ( Ferreira et al., 2001). We also have collected this species on Solanum sp. [ Solanaceae ].

Distribution. Brazil (Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina) ( Carvalho, 1958); Peru ( Carvalho and Ferreira, 1972).
