Specimens examined. BRAZIL, Santa Catarina: Ibirama (neotype, female). São Bento do Sul, male, I.1959, A. Maller leg. Rio Grande do Sul: São Francisco de Paula, male, I.1937, P. Buck leg. (MNRJ).
Geographical distribution. Brazil (Mato Grosso, Paraná to Rio Grande do Sul), Paraguay.
Comments. Tippmann (1953) affirms that the type of C. brunni is a male based on comparisons he had made between his C. scheerpeltzi and Lameere's type. The commentaries of Tippmann's misinterpretation of the sex of the holotypes are in Fragoso & Monné, 1995.
