Scina vosseleri Tattersall, 1906 View in CoL
Southwest Pacific: ex. 1090458, 11/930, [70.142°S 109.808°W], 1391 m.
Remarks: Like the previous one, this species is relatively uncommon and seems to prefer warmer waters. It is known from various regions of all the world’s oceans, except the Mediterranean Sea. It seems to prefer nearsurface waters but mature specimens are more often found in deeper water (500–1800 m) ( Vinogradov et al. 1982 / 96). Previously, the most southerly record was from the south-west Pacific (43°S 158°W) ( Vinogradov & Semenova 1996). The above record confirms its occurrence in the region and is the first for the Antarctic Zone.
