Remarks: This is an extremely rare species previously known only from three specimens from the Kurile- Kamchatka region of the North Pacific, from 6000–7000 m ( Vinogradov 1957, 1970; Zeidler 2009). Thus, this is a new record for the South Pacific and the Antarctic Zone of the Southwest Pacific Sector.
