REMARKS: These are the first records from the Adriatic Sea. Núñez (2004) considered the distribution of this species as uncertain, as it was normally considered as a synonymy of Nereis splendida (Fauvel, 1923) , and probably it was also confused with N. pulsatoria (Savigny, 1822) .
