REMARKS: The representatives of the holopelagic family Alciopidae in the Adriatic sea are treated as part of Phyllodocidae following the results of the recent molecular analyses by Struck et al. (2007) and Halanych et al. (2007) which confirmed that family Alciopidae is closely related, or possibly even belongs within the Phyllodocidae .
