Notes

The new species described below is intermediate between the genera Artocella van Achterberg, 1980 , and Clinocentrus Haliday , together with C. kozlovi Belokobylskij, 1995 and 1995 and C. kalmyk Belokobylskij, 1995 . For instance, C. amiri and C. kozlovi have a comparatively short vein 3-SR of forewing (vein 2-SR 1.3–2.6 times vein 3-SR versus 0.6–0.8 in most Clinocentrus sensu stricto and 8 times in Artocella ) if vein 3-SR is present; and short marginal cell of forewing (vein 1- R 1 0.7–0.8 times length of pterostigma versus 1.1–1.4 times and 0.1–0.5 times in Artocella ) combined with shorter palpi (as in Artocella ) than in Clinocentrus sensu stricto. The two genera can be separated as follows:

1.Second submarginal cell of fore wing triangular or subtriangular; vein 1- R 1 of fore wing 0.1–0.6 times length of pterostigma; vein 2-SR of fore wing approx. 8 times as long as vein 3-SR or vein 3-SR absent; palpi short and maxillary palp with 5 segments.... Artocella van Achterberg, 1980

-Second submarginal cell of fore wing quadrangular; vein 1- R 1 of fore wing 0.7–1.4 times length of pterostigma; vein 2-SR of fore wing 0.6–2.6 times as long as vein 3-SR; length of palpi variable and maxillary palp with 6 segments, but sometimes both basal segments amalgamated....
