Amblyomma clypeolatum Neumann, 1899 View in CoL

This is an Oriental species, mainly from South Asia, found predominantly on tortoises in moist broadleaf forests (Guglielmone et al. 2009). It has been recorded from west-central Myanmar on the Burmese star tortoise, Geochelone platynota , and the yellow tortoise, Indotestudo elongata ( Robbins and Platt 2000) .

The male and female are described in Voltzit and Keirans (2002).
