Chaetonotus (Primochaetus) cf. heteracanthus Remane, 1927 View in CoL
Localities. A pond near Galt Creek, Puslinch district.
Material. 1 specimen.
A slender species with elongate posterior end. Head five-lobed with two pairs of long sensory ciliary tufts. Head and neck with very short spines. Trunk spines gradually increase in length towards the posterior end, none of them extend beyond the furcal branches. The shape of the scales could not be observed.
As opposed to Chaetonotus (P.) tenuis Grünspan (1908) and Chaetonotus (P.) heteracanthus Remane, 1927 , there are no thick, long spines at the posterior end. This species is probably new to science but cannot be described because of lack of material.
