Type material: Holotype: ♂, Cuba, Guantanamo, Baracoa, Alto de Iberia (20°21’N, 74°30’W), 600−700 m, 20 March 1998, A. Sanchez leg. (MNHNCu).

Paratype: CUBA: ♀, Guantanamo, Monte Iberia (20°21’N, 74°30’W), Baracoa, Parque Nacional, Alejandro de Humboldt, 2007, O. Bello leg. (MNHNCu).

Etymology. The specific name is a noun and refers to the type locality.

Diagnosis. Males of N. iberia sp. nov. resemble those of N. siempreverde sp. nov. in the dRTA bifid ( Figs 74 View FIGURES 72 − 78 , 134 View FIGURES 129 − 135. 129 − 131 ). They are distinguished from this species by the TBE bifid and by the shape of the dRTA, with one branch long and slender, four times longer than the smaller squared branch in ventral view, and vRTA laminar and guttershaped ( Figs 73−75 View FIGURES 72 − 78 ). Females are distinguished by the median septum rectangular with posterior margin rebordered ( Fig. 76 View FIGURES 72 − 78 ) and by the spermathecae with an additional median twist ( Figs 77−78 View FIGURES 72 − 78 ).

Description. Male (MNHNCu, holotype): Prosoma orange brown, slightly darker along lateral margins of cephalic region and thoracic striae. Fovea brown. Eye borders black. Chelicerae orange brown. Legs and pedipalps orange. Sternum pale yellow with orange margins. Endites orange, distally pale yellow. Labium orange brown, distally pale yellow. Opisthosoma brownish yellow; dorsally with brown pattern of irregular marks laterally and on anterior half and chevron-like marks on posterior half; ventrally with scattered brown spots. Total length 7.1. Prosoma: 3.9 long, 3.2 wide. Opisthosoma: 3.1 long, 2.4 wide. Eyes: diameters: 0.26, 0.24, 0.17, 0.22; interdistances: 0.15, 0.15, 0.32, 0.23, 0.18, 0.05. Legs (2143): I: 16.3 (4.5, 2.0, 4.6, 4.2, 1.0); II: 16.8 (4.8, 2.0, 4.6, 4.3, 1.1|); III: 12.9 (4.0, 1.6, 3.1, 3.3, 0.9); IV: 15.8 (4.5, 1.6, 3.8, 4.7, 1.2). Palp: VTA small, situated medially; eRTA triangular; tegular protrusion arising from tegulum at 5 o’clock position; median apophysis arising from tegulum at 2 o’clock position; conductor with the same width throughout its entire length; TBC roughly rectangular, two times longer than wide, blunt at tip; embolus filiform arising from tegulum at 7 o’clock position; TBE with main branch with dorsal groove, flanked by long keel, to accommodate the embolus, and secondary branch shorter and pointed ( Figs 72−75 View FIGURES 72 − 78 ).

Female (MNHNCu, paratype): Coloration pattern as in male. Total length 9.1. Prosoma: 3.6 long, 3.2 wide. Opisthosoma: 5.1 long, 3.7 wide. Eyes: diameters: 0.25, 0.23, 0.14, 0.22; interdistances: 0.17, 0.07, 0.32, 0.30, 0.17, 0.07. Legs (2413): I: 10.9 (3.5, 0.8, 3.2, 2.6, 0.8); II: 11.4 (3.7, 1.0, 3.1, 2.8, 0.8); III: 8.9 (3.2, 0.6, 2.2, 2.2, 0.7); IV: 11.3 (3.6, 0.9, 2.8, 3.1, 0.9). Epigyne: epigynal field slightly longer than wide; anterior rim entire, medially depressed; median septum two times wider than long; anterior margin gently procurved ( Fig. 76 View FIGURES 72 − 78 ). Vulva: glandular projections elongate, two times longer than wide ( Figs 77−78 View FIGURES 72 − 78 ).
