Supplementary description. Male genitalia: inner sac enlarged, with basal part as wide as median lobe, slightly shorter than tegmen, elongated ventro-posteriorly, obtuse apically; ventral surface with rounded, swollen process basally and paired clusters of acuminate setae in apical one-third; dorsal surface with rounded, swollen process basally and horn-like process apically, elongated dorso-anteriorly ( Figs 21–23 View FIGURES 21–26 ).
Diagnosis. This species is closely similar to C. pingtungensis ( Wittmer, 1982) and C. simplicicornis ( Wittmer, 1993) rev. stat. et comb. n. in the color pattern and filiform antennae. It can be distinguished from C. pingtungensis by the simple and unmodified male antennae (antennomeres III–VII with small rounded excavation medially in C. pingtungensis ) and conjoint dorsal plate of aedeagal parameres 0.5 times longer than ventral process of each paramere (conjoint dorsal plate extremely short in C. pingtungensis ). From C. simplicicornis , it differs in the large, prominent eyes ( Figs. 11–12 View FIGURES 11–14 ; see C. simplicicornis in Figs. 13–14 View FIGURES 11–14 ), wider conjoint dorsal plate and indistinct, undeveloped dorsal processes of median lobe ( Figs. 15–16 View FIGURES 15–20 ; see C. simplicicornis in Figs. 17–20 View FIGURES 15–20 ).
Remarks. In addition to the distinct color variation noted by Yang et al. (2012), the diverticulum of female genitalia varies among different specimens, with relative length ca. 1.7–1.5X longer than spermathecal duct ( Figs. 29–30 View FIGURES 27–32 ).
Distribution. Taiwan (presumed endemic).
