Chondrodtega pastrana var. palaestrana Staudinger, 1891 , Dt. Ent. Z. Iris 4: 257–258. TL: Jerusalem. Syntypes: males, females (ZMHU).

Distribution (Map 4): eastern Turkey, Syria, Israel. - In Iran: Fars, Kermanshah and Lorestan provinces.
Bionomics. The species is native to arid biotopes and is univoltine with flight period from late August to late
October. From 970 to 2400 m. Females wingless. Caterpillars on various lower plants, observed on Artemisia
spp ., Astragalus spp ., Onobrychus spp . Eggs hibernate.
