Harmothoe minuta (Potts, 1910) , doubtful species

In the Mediterranean Harmothoe minuta was only once recorded by Rullier 1963) in the Sea of Marmara, but no description was given and the material is not available for examination. This species was fi rst described as Polynoe ? minuta by Potts (1910) from the Maldive Islands. Unfortunately the description and fi gures are poor and the type specimen (BMNH 1924.3.1.8 2) is in such bad shape that we have to consider H. minuta as indeterminable.
