Disophrys atripennis (Szépligeti) View in CoL NEW COMBINATION. Male.
[ Figure 4 View FIGURE 4 ]
Cremnops atripennis Szépligeti 1914 .
Comments. Originally described as a member of Cremnops , the holotype clearly belongs in the genus Disophrys with its large, open, propodeal median areola, and deep up-curved sternaulus extending the length of the mesopleuron. There is already a recognized species with the same name, i.e., Disophrys atripennis (Szépligeti 1915) , but Disophrys atripennis (Szépligeti 1914) is the primary homonym. As such, the secondary homonym Disophrys atripennis (Szépligeti 1915) is renamed here—See Dysophrys szatripennis Tucker (see below).
Material examined. HOLOTYPE: Cremnops atripennis , male, Westafrika: Uelleburg, VI.–VIII.08, Teßmann S.G., Zool. Mus. Berlin. ( ZMHB).
