Pygodasis hyalina Saussure, 1864
Female. Not found in this study. Body length variable, up to 44 mm. Color. Body black; wings hyaline with brown, reddish or blackish brown veins (Saussure 1864).
Male. Body length 17.2 mm; forewing length 13.8 mm; Structure. Upper and lateral margins of clypeus, interantennal area, and frons densely punctate; punctures on vertex and gena sparse; mesosoma with coarse and moderately dense punctures; posterior face of propodeum punctate; hind tibial spurs acute. Genitalia ( Fig. 42G View FIGURE 42 ). Parameres converging towards the apex; tip strongly angulated forming a subtriangular apex, ventral face polished with sparse setae in the mid area; volsellae with dense sparse setae. Color. Setae and body completely black, wings light brown ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 ).
Distribution. NT. Mexico: Chiapas ( Map 4 View MAP 4 ). Argentina, Brazil, British Guiana and Colombia ( Bradley 1945).
