Syntypes: 2 (slide, mounted together with two specimens of two other species of Onychiuridae ) Canada. [Northwest Territories], Reindeer St[ation], [9–18.vi.] 1948, [in thick layer old Vaccinium Vitis idaea , Ledum , grass, moss, liverwort and some lichens, moist], M. Hammer (CNC 165122, Type No. 18195).

Listed as Protaphorura paucisetosa (Hammer, 1953) by Skidmore (1995: 53).
