Holotype: 1 female (slide) [U.S.A.] Alaska, Canning River Delta, owl mound, [in the tundra], 23.vii.1980, S.F. MacLean (CNC 165049, Type No. 20098). Paratypes: 2 males, 2 females (slide), same locality as holotype, 23.vii.1980, Dryas hummock tundra (CNC 165140, Type No. 20095); 1 male, 2 females (slide), same collection as holotype (CNC 165141, Type No. 20096); 4 males, 1 female (slide), same locality as holotype, 23.vii.1980, dry crust, Dryas , Saxifraga , lichens (CNC 165142, Type No. 20097).

Currently listed as Oligaphorura reversa (Fjellberg, 1987) by Bellinger et al. (1996–2015) and Babenko & Fjellberg (2015: 72).
