Euconnus (Tetramelus) nachuzrischwilii Franz : Vít & Hlaváč, 1998: 146, Figs 11, 12.
All Caucasian species of the subgenus Tetramelus are very similar in general apperance. They are small or middle-sized, light yellowish-brown, microphthalmous, with slender antennae and legs. The body length of Euconnus (Tetramelus) kraussi is 1.40–1.60 mm. In the original description the body length of Euconnus (Tetramelus) marinae is stated to be 1.55–1.75 mm ( Franz 1979). The length of this wide range was already put in doubt ( Vít & Hlaváč 1998: 146). All three syntypes in NMW were measured and they have the following lengths: 1.57; 1.43; 1.43 mm. Consequently, the Franz’s measurements were not correct.
During the present study, the following material was studied:
Tetramelus nachuzrischwilii Franz : HOLOTYPE, ♂: five labels, “Zentralkaukassus / lg. H. Franz, 1.-8.6.77 [date crossed out]“ [printed, white], “Umg. Ananuri / b. Tbilisi “ [white, printed], “ E. ( Tetramelus ) / nachuzraschwili m. / det. H. Franz “ [white, handwriten and printed], „ HOLOTYPE “ [red, handwriten], “ HOLOTYPE / Euconnus (Tetramelus) / nachuzrischwili Franz / = E. T. kraussi Reitter / P. Hlaváč det., 2020“ [red, printed] ( NMW).
PARATYPES, 9 sps: four labels, “Zentralkaukassus / lg. H. Franz, 1.-8.6.77 [this dates are striked down]“ [printed, white], “Umg. Ananuri / b. Tbilisi “ [white, printed], “ E. ( Tetramelus ) / nachuzraschwili m. / PARATYPUS “ [white, handwriten and printed], “ PARATYPE / Euconnus (Tetramelus) / nachuzrischwili Franz / = E. T. kraussi Reitter / P. Hlaváč det., 2020“ [red, printed] ( NMW) .
Remarks. All ten specimens of the type series have the same collecting date, 1- 8.6.1977, there are no specimens with the date 12.7.1985, indicated in the original description ( Franz 1986: 42).
Tetramelus marinae Franz : LECTOTYPE, ♂, here designated: four labels, “ Kachetien / Umg. Shuante, 800 m “ [white, printed], “ Zentralkaukassus / lg. H. Franz, 1.-8.6.77“ [white, printed], “ Euconnus / ( Tetramelus ) / marinae / det. H. Franz m. “ [red, handwriten and printed], “ LECTOTYPE / Euconnus (Tetramelus) / marinae Franz / = E. T. kraussi Reitter / P. Hlaváč det., 2020“ ( NMW) . PARALECTOTYPES, 1 ♂, 1 ♀: four labels, “ Kachetien / Umg. Shuante, 800 m “ [white, printed], “Zentralkaukassus / lg. H. Franz, 1.-8.6.77“ / “ Euconnus / ( Tetramelus ) / marinae m. / PARATYPUS “ [white, handwriten and printed], “ PARALECTOTYPE / Euconnus (Tetramelus) / marinae Franz / = E. T. kraussi Reitter / P. Hlaváč det., 2020“ [red, printed] ( NMW) .
