Diagnosis: A small “ Metacypris ” species with the following peculiarities: posterior cardinal angle clearly defined. Median sulcus fairly narrow, deep, more or less straight, extending far down to over the valve centre. Anterior sulcus short, diagonal. Between the two sulci a flat, more or less longish node-like swelling; a similar swelling, mostly more weakly defined and more rounded, in front of the anterior sulcus. Carapace surface with pore dimples joined together in a mesh-like pattern in the central valve area; with pore dimples arranged in a line against the free valve margins, and separated by narrow little ridges, parallel to the end margins and the ventral margin.

Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 5371.

Paratypes: 2 Left valves, SMF Xe 5372 .

Dimension: Holotype, length 0.54mm.
