1965a Cypridea subtilis n. sp. —Krömmelbein, p. 182–183, pl. 11, fig. 4.

Diagnosis: A small Cypridea species (about 0.90 mm carapace length) with the following peculiarities: maximum carapace height in the first third of the carapace length; dorsal margin falling away fairly steeply; broad, flat valve indentation between the nodes as far as the middle of the dorsal margin. Coarse sculpture: on each valve two strong, roundish swellings in either high antero-median position or high postero-median position; the line joining both nodes inclined diagonally towards the posterior and running more or less parallel to the dorsal line. Fine sculpture: very fine, pore dimples forming a mesh over the whole carapace surface, especially marked or distinct in the central valve area.

Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 5342.

Paratype: Carapace, SMF Xe 5343 .

Dimensions: Holotype, length 0.89mm, height 0.58mm.
