Cypridea (Morinina?) langei Krömmelbein, 1962

Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 , 5a–c View FIGURE 5

1962 Cypridea (Morinina?) langei n. n.—Krömmelbein, p. 469–471, pl. 60, fig. 46.

Diagnosis (new version): A large, rather variable species from the group of C. bibullata . Sulcus broad, fairly shallow, very indistinctly outlined. Both in front of and behind the sulcus, just below the dorsal margin, is a flat swelling of the valve. A third swelling, formed mostly like a spine, is just behind the area of the central muscle field, but always lying in front of the rear upper swelling. Numerous not always very distinct pits cover the entire carapace surface.

Material: ‘Hypotype’, carapace, SMF Xe 4216.

Dimensions: Xe 4216, length 1.25mm, height 0.66mm.

Remarks (Bate et al. herein): Krömmelbein’s discussion of the above subspecies notes C. (M.?) langei n.n., not otherwise formally listed in the text but illustrated in pl. 60, fig. 46, the explanation for which indicates that it is a nom. nov. for Cypridea quadrilateralis Swain inflata Wicher, 1959 (a junior homonym of Cypridea recta inflata Wolburg, 1959 ).
