Tribe Ipini

Ipini is represented by four genera: Ips , Orthotomicus , Pityogenes and Pityokteines ( Table 1 ).

Key to genera

1. Pronotal base armed with punctures and a longitudinal, flat callus. Female frons with either a deep fovea or flat with dense hairs. Frons of male flat with short hairs. Declivity broaden, deep or flat with 1−3 pairs of small teeth along the lateral sides. Posterior margin of elytra covering the abdominal ventrites. 1.5−3.5 mm …...............................
