Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 B, 36A–E
MALE. Body length 6.5–7.7 mm, wing length 6.0– 6.5 mm. Head. Face strongly concave and weakly projected antero-ventrally; frontal prominence weakly developed (similar to Fig. 1F). Width of vertex at anterior ocellus ca. 1/5 of the width of head [1:4.8]; depth of occipital fossa 1/5 of the width of an eye in dorsal view. Width of face:width of head 1:4.4. Face black, densely pale pollinose, weakly medio-ventrally. Gena shiny brownish. Frons and vertex black, pale pollinose, frontal prominence posteriorly with diffuse fascia of dense pollinosity, otherwise shiny; lunula shiny brown; the pile short, erect and pale. Occiput dull black. Antenna dark brown, basoflagellomere oval, extreme base reddish; arista pilose. Eye with an area of enlarged facets at anterior margin. Thorax. Colour black, densely pale pollinose on pleura; scutum with a medial and sublateral semi-shiny fascia or almost uniformly weakly pollinose, the pile adpressed and usually reddish; scutellum semicircular (ratio of length:width 1:2.7), semishiny, with adpressed brownish pile; a pair of long black setae at apical margin, rather widely separated. Wing, Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 B. Hyaline, stigma brownish. Legs. Pro- and mesoleg: coxa yellow; trochanter yellow, femur brownish, the extreme base and apex yellowish; tibia yellow with a more or less broad brownish annulus on apical 1/2; tarsus yellow, tarsomeres 4 and 5 black. Metaleg: coxa black; trochanter simple, yellow or brownish; femur blackish, the basal 1/6 yellow; tibia without distinct apico-ventral tooth, yellow, the apical 1/3 to 1/4 brown and a brownish annulus medially; tarsus black. Abdomen. Length ratio of tergites I, II, III and IV 1:3.3:1.7:1.3. Colour of tergites shiny black, tergite III on anterior 1/2 with an obscure reddish fascia broadening laterally; the pile pale, short and adpressed, becoming longer laterally; tergite I with an oblique row of 4–5 long, pale setae laterally; sternite IV ( Figs 36 View FIGURE 36 A, B) brown, with fine dense pale pile: sternite VI ( Fig. 36 View FIGURE 36 A) simple, black, with an area of long pale pile; sternites VII and VIII black, with pale pile. Genitalia, Figs 36 View FIGURE 36 C–E. Note the strongly asymmetrical surstyli, the only slightly asymmetrical superior lobes, the strongly asymmetrical postero-ventral part of sternite IX, the elongated tergite IX, and the narrow cercus. FEMALE. Unknown.
